Early voting for the 2014 General Election began on Monday, October 20, and continues through October 31. Election Day is Tuesday, November 4. The candidates and propositions on the ballot will have a long-term, direct impact on families, communities, schools, and this great state and nation, so make sure your voice is heard.
In addition to the election of state and local officeholders, you may see a number of local initiatives from cities, counties, and school districts on your ballot. There will also be one proposed state constitutional amendment regarding the funding of transportation projects in Texas. I encourage you to learn more about this proposition by reviewing this analysis prepared by the House Research Organization, a non-partisan research group.
Not sure where to vote? Early voting locations in Matagorda County include the Bay City Service Center, Matagorda County Courthouse Annex, and Van Vleck ISD Administration Building. Early voting locations in Brazoria County can be found by clicking here.
