Rep. Bonnen was on hand when the Texas Business and Education Coalition presented their Honor Roll schools for 2007 in Austin in October.
State Representative Dennis Bonnen and Pearland resident Mary Ellen Harris were named to the Hall of Honor at the Lincoln-Reagan Day dinner for Brazoria County Republications.
Austin—Speaker Tom Craddick has appointed Rep. Dennis Bonnen to Chair the Select Committee on Electric Generation Capacity and Environmental Effects. Created by proclamation, the committee will consist of nine House members, all appointed by the speaker.
Representative Bonnen presents a flag that has flown over the Capitol in Austin to Mrs. Bertha Jammer, president of the Mims Community Center for 30 years. The presentation was part of the 23rd annual Juneteenth Celebration at the community center in Sweeny.
Rep. Bonnen joined Angleton Little League board members and officers for a tribute to L. C. Edwards during the opening ceremonies for the baseball season. Mr. Edwards, who passed away in December, was instrumental in starting the Little League in 1953 and Edwards field was named for him.
